At the end of last year, we had the privilege of working with some amazing students from University of Bath on a project addressing one of the hidden reasons behind the alarming drop-out rate of girls in sports: lack of access to period products.
Their short film captures the reality many young athletes face—missing training because of an unexpected period, the lack of access to products, and the resulting anxiety. It also shows how something as simple as access to period products can make a world of difference: confidence restored, and no one benched by their period.
We’ve seen how professional female players in rugby, football and other sports have inspired a surge in participation among girls, proving the power of role models. But to truly break down barriers, we need practical solutions too. That’s where Egal Pads, Inc & Pads on a Roll comes in—making sure periods never stand in the way.
This film is a brilliant watch—take a few minutes to see how we can keep more girls in the game.
Here’s to breaking barriers and empowering the next generation of athletes in 2025!

About Egal Pads on a Roll
Egal Pads on a Roll delivers quality period protection in the same way that a toilet roll dispenses tissue.
